This year, you will learn how to read, understand, and analyze a text INDEPENDENTLY by using reading and writing strategies. As you read The Outsiders, I will give you some guidance, but I will also push you to challenge yourself and figure some things out on your own. You can do it!!! Reading Schedule: You are responsible for keeping up with the pages you are supposed to read each day. If you get behind, you need to read at home - you may buy your own copy of the book or access it online (click the button to the right!). Miniproject guidelines: Each group will be assigned a mini-project that will help them develop the reading skills they need. Each group's project is listed below. |
